En lille opsamling på noget af det vi tror vi ved. Udgiveren har ikke meldt noget som helst ud, bortset fra at spillet er på vej.
Since its announcement in 2015, Capcom has been extremely secretive about Resident Evil 2 Remake, which, according to recent developments, will be showcased at E3 next month. A source close to the project, has shared details to Rely on Horror. As any other rumor, take this with a grain of salt.
Will be revealed at E3
According to the unnamed source, the game will be revealed during E3 next month, confirming what we have been reporting for a few weeks now.
The game will be powered by the RE Engine, which was also used on Resident Evil 7. It will be an improved version of the engine, however. The new tech includes better lighting and shadow system. The game will run 30fps at 1080p on a standard PS4 and 60fps at native 4k on a PS4 Pro.
Capcom is making sure that the characters look “like their original game counterparts” to avoid the confusion Resident Evil 7’s Chris Redfield caused among fans.
The game will use “photogrammetry scanning,” similar to Resident Evil 7, to give players a “nearly photorealistic Raccoon City”
The game will use a over-the-shoulder camera view similar to Resident Evil 4. This has been a hot topic among fans since the game’s reveal. Capcom may use over-the-shoulder camera for some portions of the game, and classic fixed camera angles for other portions.
According to the source, many of those involved in the development of the original game have returned to give a helping hand with the development of the remake.
That is all for now. Please take everything with a grain of salt. Nothing has been confirmed yet, other than the fact that the game is currently being developed.
