IGNPC: Many of the recent MMOGs we've been playing look so much better than the first generation of MMOGs. Tell us about some of the graphical enhancements and visual whistles and bells we can expect in Vanguard.
Brad McQuaid: Just as with EverQuest, we felt to create truly immersive and detailed environments it's usually best to use both the technology at hand as well as what's coming in the future. Vanguard's engine currently uses pixel shader 2.0 technology, per pixel lighting, bump mapping, specular highlighting, and a myriad of other graphics buzzwords. Without me grabbing my lead programmer and having him list out even more technical terminology, the best way to get a feel for what Vanguard will look like would be to take a look at the screenshots we've released as well as future movies and screenshots.
