Are you closing the oppurtunity for buy at the US store, if your location is in Denmark? My name: Nicolai
you: at 15:07:58
And if so, why?
Maco: at 15:13:22
Hi there Nicolai. Regarding your question. Let me clarify it. First of all. From the TOU, customers are only allowed to purchase on there own marketplace. Its to avoid region issues that causes multiple problems that will impact on the customers account. If you want to purchase a game that is not on your region, you need to migrate the account to that region. But region migrations are limited to 4 times a year. And another reason why customers should only purchase games for there region is that purchasing on other regions is called geo-fencing.

Even though there is no region lock for xbox one consoles, this is technically for the game discs only. But since there is no region lock. Customers can change the local to the region they want to check the marketplace. But if customers tries to purchase the games on that marketplace, it actually violates the terms of use for Marketplace purchasing.

But we were advised to do that, when the Xbox hit the shelfs? So i dont understand why all of sudden, that we can´t do it anymore?
you: at 15:14:42
And it will hit many customers and maybe consider an different console, sadly..
Maco: at 15:21:43
It was not advised Nicolai. It was only for those who owns a console where xbox live services is not yet applied. But for regions where there is xbox live, we don't recommend them to purchase games on a US region. The reason for this is also with your bank. When you purchase a game that is not on your region. Your bank will notice that it does not match the currency and will block the next charge. The system only applies the block that your bank have done because there is a risk applied on the transactions.
you: at 15:19:38
Okay. So last thing: That is why we have trouble buying games, because you are fixing the problem with the purchases from different regions?
Maco: at 15:27:15
Yes. Our engineers are trying to fix that issue because buying games from different regions creates multiple regions associated to the account. This regions are not removable or can be deleted once a purchase was done. These causes issues like migration issues and transferring gamertags to another Microsoft Account. So we can't recommend to customers to purchase a game on a different region if xbox live services is good on his region. Only to those countries that xbox live is not yet provided are the customers that we recommend to change the region but should be the nearest region where xbox live is provided.
Så det ser ud til at de lukker det ned, desværre... Nå men, det bliver i hvert fald ikke digitalt jeg køber så.
